Personalizing your Arrhae

Another important symbolism used in wedding ceremony is the arrhae. An arrhae is made up of thirteen coins of gold or silver and is used as one of the paraphernalia in a Christian wedding. The thirteen coins represent wealth for each month of the year with an extra coin as spare luck for the couple all year round. There is a part in the wedding ceremony where the groom will present the arrhae to his bride. The arrhae symbolizes the groom’s ability and his promise to support his wife and his family.

Couples can buy ready made arrhae which are made up of 13 coins and a container to use for their wedding. But to make the arrhae more personalize, why not collect coins minted during the year where both couples were born. I just read this from a blog wherein the couple used coins from 1980 and 1982 which were the year when both couple were born.

Don’t you think it is really a great idea? Even the smallest details like this can make a wedding really unique and something that reflects the couple.

Wedding Vow Rings

The wedding band is a very symbolic piece of jewelry as it symbolizes the union of two people. That is why married couples see to it that they always wear their wedding bands as it also shows their faithfulness and their unending love for each other.

While the wedding band is an important symbolism in the wedding, the wedding vows are as equally as important as it is here where the couple professes their promise to love one another in front of God and in front of all the people that it is important to them. It never fails to make me cry every time I listen to couples reciting their wedding vows.

Since wedding vows and wedding bands are both important in a wedding, why not have the wedding vows engraved then inside the wedding band. Traditional wedding bands only allows up to 24 characters but thanks to the new laser engraving process, it is now possible to engrave your wedding vows or other personalized message (up to 255 characters) inside the wedding ring.

The full message or wedding vows engraved inside the wedding ring makes them all the more meaningful and precious to the couple.

Butterfly Release

According to legends, if you want to make a wish and make it come true, you must first capture a butterfly and whisper your wish to it. The butterfly cannot reveal your wish to anyone since butterfly makes no sound but they say that the great spirits can hear your wish. By releasing the butterfly and thus giving it its freedom, you are letting the butterfly take your wish to the heavens and as a sign of the great spirits’ gratitude for releasing the butterfly, your wish will be granted.

That is why butterfly release has been one of the trends in weddings. The couple can choose to releases butterflies for a more dramatic and fairy tale effect during:

• The bridal walk
• The Kiss
• The Recessional or when the couple step out of the church
• The Grand entrance

There are many different styles that a butterfly can be release during a wedding:

• Each of your guests or member of the entourage will be given miniature triangular white envelopes holding a butterfly which they will release all at the same time.
• A mass release where butterflies will be put in cage and will be release in one of the highlights of the wedding.

This will truly create a very lasting memory about your wedding that you and your guest will always remember.
