When I got married, we had a part in the program during the reception when we present gifts to our parents as a sign of our gratitude to them and for appreciating everything that they have done for us.

Aside from presenting your parents with tokens, here is one wedding idea in making a memorable way to honor the two mothers at the wedding ceremony.


This idea is very easy to do. All you have to do is ask you florist to make two detachable floral sprays into your bouquet. When you reach the altar after walking down the aisle, detach one of the flowers from your bouquet and hand it to your father. (Make sure that you have discussed your plan with your father so he will know what to do when you hand him the flower.) Instruct your father to present the flower to your mother on your behalf as he takes his seat with your mom.

Then after the church ceremony, stop by your mother-in-law in the pew as you walk back to the aisle and present her with the second flower and give her a kiss.

I am sure the mothers will be really touched with this great gesture and they will really feel how special they are to the couple.
